Be Well MLA: Financial Health Literacy Check-Up

Join us on April 17, 2024, at 1:00 - 2:00 p.m., central time for the "Be Well MLA: Financial Health Literacy Check-Up." This session aims to empower medical librarians, library workers, and health information professionals by checking their essential financial literacy skills and interweaving the importance of financial health on our overall well-being.

In a world where financial challenges intersect with our professional and personal lives, understanding the nuances of financial literacy becomes more pressing and can be stressful. That's why we've invited two distinguished speakers, River Nice and Adela V. Justice, to share their unique perspectives and expertise on financial literacy and its impact on health.

River Nice, an anti-capitalist financial planner, will discuss the importance of financial literacy for health, offering resources and tools tailored to help individuals navigate the complexities of personal finance with an eye toward ethical and intentional living.

Adela V. Justice, a senior librarian with a deep passion for personal finance, will discuss the profound impact of financial literacy on health and the specific financial issues facing library workers today.

The event will include a dedicated Q&A session, allowing attendees to engage directly with the experts. Don't miss this opportunity to enhance your financial literacy, improve your financial health, and contribute positively to your overall well-being during National Financial Literacy Month!
