To ensure the health and safety of all attendees of MLA ’24, please review the following guidelines.
As COVID-19 continues to periodically surge, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommends that everyone aged 6 months and older get an updated 2023-2024 COVID-19 vaccine. Staying up to date on vaccinations, seeking early testing and treatment, wearing masks, and improving ventilation indoors are all layers of protection you can choose to use to help reduce your risk of getting severely ill with COVID-19.
The Oregon Convention Center (OCC) is in compliance with CDC guidelines and uses MERV 13 filters in all spaces. OCC’s HVAC system also has a minimum of five air exchanges per hour in occupied spaces.
For those who regularly wear masks in public places and wish to do so at the conference, we encourage you to bring masks with you that you know are comfortable. Forgot your masks? A limited number of colorful, packaged KN95 masks will be available at the Registration Center.
Anyone who chooses may also pick up a social distancing button. Please respect the distancing preferences of other in-person attendees.
A robust virtual experience will be available through the online planner and mobile app if you are unable to attend in person.
Additional information will be available shortly on the MLA ’24 website. If you have any additional questions about health and safety at MLA ’24, please contact Kate Corcoran.
