Tour the Historic Multnomah County Central Library in Portland, Oregon

The Central Branch of Multnomah County Library is the shining pearl of the local public library system in Portland, Oregon. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the three-story building which takes up a city block has been remodeled and restored since it was originally built in 1911. The library includes the John Wilson Special Collections, the Beverly Cleary Children’s Library, and the Henry Failing Art and Music Library. There’s a lovely write-up about its history in this entry of the Oregon Encyclopedia.

We are grateful for the Multnomah County Central Library to host a tour for MLA ’24 attendees on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at 3:30 p.m., pacific time.
